The Challenge

IPORT by Sonance helps end-users turn their tablet into a simple and functional business tool or home controller. From residences, hotel rooms, corporate offices, yachts, and fleet vehicles, IPORT products solve real problems and enhance the usability of tablets in business and at home every day. The company had a number of challenges when it came to their ecommerce environment and digital processes:

  • Inefficient Internal Processes: Product and content data was imported and managed manually using significant time and resources.
  • Poor Digital Asset Management: There was no consistency or central repository for IPORT’s digital assets across their various brands and businesses. This limited their marketing efforts and prevented proper audience targeting.
  • Ineffective UX/UI: Further, IPORT lacked landing pages at a granular enough level to create a customer-curated shopping experience. The existing user experience and user interface design for IPORT on their previous hosting platform failed to deliver frictionless transactions for customers needing custom quotes, large orders, or special-order products.

The Xngage Solution

  • Ecommerce Implementation: Xngage transitioned the IPORT website to Optimizely Configured Commerce, allowing for true ecommerce with robust transactional abilities. The Optimizely B2B content management system allowed IPORT to create custom pages for their various products and brands, giving their marketing team autonomy in creating targeted landing pages and campaigns.
  • User Experience Design: Xngage’s user experience team designed a solution that helped Sonance’s consumers quickly navigate the site to get all the information they needed on IPORT’s products and solutions. Our team designed a custom user experience, allowing customers to shop by solution instead of individual products.

The Results

The new IPORT website was the first step in Sonance's B2B digital revamp. The B2C site offered an introduction to Optimizely’s ecommerce capabilities that would help Sonance and IPORT create a B2B portal for all their clients, from the purchasers to the architects who help install their products both commercially and residentially.
