EIS Business Challenges
EIS, a large industrial supply distributor, wanted to continue its leadership in B2B ecommerce. Their business had already experienced significant channel growth, but they recognized that more change was needed as buyers further shifted to ecommerce. They turned to Xngage, and the EpiServer (now Optimizely) B2B eCommerce Platform, to create a website design solution that would integrate a range of systems but also give them new functionality. They hired Xngage to develop a digital strategy to ensure success both right away, and in the years to come.
Core to an effective solution was the digital mapping of their ecosystem. With multiple ERP platforms and multiple storefronts, EIS needed a custom solution allowing multiple cloud instances. Xngage developed a strategy for leveraging the flexibility of the Optimizely platform in order to connect multiple data sets in the cloud. Xngage custom software development allowed EIS to better manage the back end of their website, which improved services ranging from better inventory management flow to a more integrated customer care program that enhanced customer experiences.
With a better overall system, EIS was able to better leverage marketing tools to increase awareness and convert their buyers more quickly, resulting in a better return-on-investment. Xngage also implemented advanced analytics to better track metrics of their website AND their marketing mix.
This digital transformation led to a variety of improvements in metrics. And both external and internal EIS customers responded favorably to the new website, improving overall customer satisfaction.
